Wings Your Way, a popular wings and sandwich shop on Lafayette Road, has closed its door due to economic reasons.
In a statement posted on the business' Facebook page and website on Friday, owners Kirby and Cory Nadilo wrote they were "devastated" they had to close the 4-year-old North Hampton location because they could "no longer sustain the restaurant in this economy."
"Wings has been our life for 7 years and adjusting to a world without it for us is going to take some time," wrote the Nadilos in the post. "Know that every single one of you has meant so much to us and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our journey. We hope to see you all again someday."

A similar message was posted on the sign outside the restaurant on Saturday, and it is unclear exactly when the business closed because the Nadilos couldn't be reached for comment.
The business' Manchester location has also closed, according to the page. The Durham location, which is where the business originally started, closed in March, according to the Facebook page for the business, which had a different owner.

Several residents told Patch over the weekend they were upset with the closure, and by 11 a.m. Monday many of the roughly 110 comments on the North Hampton Wings Your Way Facebook page reflected similar feelings.
"Certainly a huge loss," wrote Joe Mittica. "Thanks to Kirby and Cory for giving us a great place to eat for the last 7 years. We can only hope one day this restaurant comes back."
Many said they were surprised to hear about the economic problems, as they said the award-winning business was typically bustling.
"You all say economy isn't good for you! BUT....yet when ever you pass your locations they were packed!!" wrote Alicia Browne. "Regardless of the time of day!! It's sad and sucks that we all have to move on start all over again and find new treasure =["
Several employees also commented on the Facebook post to thank the Nadilos, as well as respond to criticism and concerns about outstanding gift cards for the now-defunct chain.
"You guys gave it your all, and unfortunately things don't always go the way we plan," wrote DeAnna Emerson, who said she has worked for the Nadilos for four years. "Those who criticize you do not know you. This decision was not hasty, and you exhausted all efforts. It has been a pleasure to work with you and your family. I work with a lot of small businesses, and to hear your genuine concern for others was refreshing. You guys did a great job - good luck in all you do."
It is unclear whether the business will reimburse or honor its active gift cards.
