Women Caught Up in Narcotics Investigation

New Hampshire State Police arrest Jill Brown and Amy Brown for allegedly obtaining a controlled drug by fraud.

Two local women were arrested this week after a month-long police investigation, according to a press statement.

Jill Brown, 40, of Nottingham (pictured left), and Amy Brown, 34, of Barrington, were arrested on Feb. 24, 2015, each on a single count of obtaining a controlled drug by fraud charge.

According to the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit, in January, the department began looking into an incident concerning a controlled drug obtained by false means in Nottingham. After the investigation, both women were arrested, according to Sgt. Jennifer MacKenzie.

Jill Brown is due in Concord District Court on April 24, and Amy Brown is due in Dover District Court on April 28.
