3 Woman Art Show to Benefit Veterans
An art show to help veterans will be held October 2nd from 2-4 at Color Notes Art Gallery, 94 Lafayette Rd., Hampton Falls.
Hampton Falls, NH – Color Notes Art Gallery, 94 Lafayette Rd., Hampton Falls, is sponsoring an art show to benefit Chris’ Pets for Vets. There will be an opening reception October 2nd from 2 to 4 pm. Three local artists, Danielle Annis, Carol Adams and Barbara Busenbark will be donating 30% of the proceeds from art purchases during this special event. Chris’ Pets for Vets is one of the programs of Annie’s Angels and provides shelter animals to veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
This fund was created in honor of Christopher Journeau for PTSD awareness. Chris served with the US ARMY, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team while fighting in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Six months after his return home to Stratham, NH, at the age of 23, he took his own life. He had been suffering from PTSD and nobody knew it until it was too late.
Chris’ Pets for Vets works with local animal shelters to pair veterans with a free pet, so they can more easily deal with PTSD, helping to heal the deep emotional scars, and possibly save their lives. You can help this very worthy cause by purchasing a piece of artwork during the month of October at Color Notes Art Gallery.
