Adult Ed Now Enrolling

Fall 2011 classes are open, and registration begins next week.

Winnacunnet High School Evening School will once again be offering an adult high school diploma and GED option program beginning Sept. 6.

Registration for the 2010-2011 school year will begin starting Tuesday, Aug. 16, through Thursday, Sept. 1. Please call 758-9233 for an appointment to register.

The program is open to residents of the greater Seacoast area who are 16 and older who have not completed high school. This program is also open to those seeking to return to college and need refresher courses or preparation courses.

Interested participants must have an individual appointment with Program Director Janis Petrou to review transcripts to determine credit status.

Petrou has listed the following days as office hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Aug. 16 through Aug. 18, Aug. 23 through Aug. 24, and Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.

Afternoon and evening appointments can also be arranged upon request.

The program is staffed by highly qualified teachers. Career counseling and employment skills are offered as part of the program. Tuition is required and financial aid is available upon request.

The WHS Adult High School Diploma program began in 2003 and has grown considerably since its inception. Winnacunnet Community Education recently  in June.

Adult Education is an investment that pays off for the adult learners, their communities, families and employers.
