Unitil Gives 600 Trees And Shrubs To Customers In New Hampshire, Massachusetts (patch.com) — Hampton residents served by Unitil may have been among 600 customers in New Hampshire and Massachusetts who received free trees and shrubs through the utility’s partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. The Hampton-based company says the long-running giveaway supports its Storm Resiliency Program by replacing trees removed near power lines, while also promoting energy savings and environmental benefits across its service territory.
2. Is it legal to sleep overnight on the beach in NH? (seacoastonline.com) — If you’re thinking about dozing off on the sand in Hampton, be aware that overnight sleeping on public beaches in New Hampshire is generally illegal unless you’re in a designated campground. The one exception on the Seacoast is the RV-only campground at Hampton Beach State Park, which opens full-time May 22 and requires hookups, with no tents or pop-ups allowed.
3. Hampton Beach, Kennebunkport were named must-visit beach towns in 2026 (fosters.com) — Hampton Beach has just been singled out by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the best East Coast beach towns, praised for its sandy shoreline, family‑friendly vibe, and lively boardwalk. The recognition highlights local favorites like the Explore the Ocean World Oceanarium and notes that nighttime summer concerts at the Seashell Stage kick off May 23, drawing even more visitors to town.
4. Thursday Seacoast Roundup: Two milestones reached in St. Thomas girls lacrosse win (seacoastonline.com) — Winnacunnet boys lacrosse thrilled Hampton fans with a 19-4 home win over Pembroke, powered by six goals from Beckett Rath and three from Burke Spalding. The Seacoast roundup also highlights strong performances by St. Thomas teams, York girls lacrosse, and Winnacunnet boys volleyball.
