• Hampton oil heist: Three arrested in alleged used cooking oil restaurant thefts (wmur.com) — Hampton restaurant owners are dealing with a string of used cooking oil thefts that police say stretch back to August and involve several local eateries. Three out-of-state men have been arrested after officers found about 1,000 gallons of suspected stolen oil in a rental truck, and Hampton police are still investigating whether the oil was being resold or converted into biodiesel.
