Dough Craft Pizza and Restaurant is located in the Portsmouth Green Shopping Plaza on Rt. 1 Portsmouth. with plenty of free parking. You can enjoy comfortable seating with table side service or sit at the bar where you can enjoy the best Espresso Martini made from scratch with our fresh brewed espresso coffee, a glass of wine or a draft beer like the Maine Lunch. We make fresh pizza dough 3 times a week. Every pizza is hand crafted using our homemade sauces. You can order one of our specialty pizzas or make your own from our list of ingredients - which includes over 44 sauces, cheeses and toppings. Our most popular specialty pizzas are the Margherita (red sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil), Nice Spice, (spicy garlic Buffalo chicken with mozzarella cheese and a ranch drizzle), Bad Larry “The Works”(our red pizza sauce with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and caramelized onions) Mr. Fun Guy (mushroom and truffle oil cream base with mozzarella cheese, caramelized onion and of course fresh mushrooms) and the Maserati (white cream base with bacon, caramelized onion, goat cheese and fresh mushrooms). We serve the best fresh steamed “black pastrami” (New York style) sandwiches around Portsmouth using pastrami that is made from the piece of beef known as the “plate cut”. It is seasoned with our proprietary spice blend before being steamed for over 1 hour each morning and then hand-carved for your sandwich. No “deli pastrami” here, just real beef with real pastrami spices and flavor. Some of our most popular made to order foods include fresh salads (Caesar, Beet, Cobb, etc.), a full menu of sandwiches including chicken, meatball and pesto paninis, and wraps. Tuesday's upcoming election for Sheriff has a field of three Republicans as our current Sheriff, Mike Hureau, cannot seek re-election. Mike, thank you for your service. The person who stands out head and shoulders above the other two candidates is Barry Newcomb. And not just because he is 6'3"! Barry is a professional police officer with many years of experience on the street. With today's heroin and drug epidemic claiming many lives in our state, we need a Sheriff who has the first-hand experience to lead his team. We need someone who is knowledgeable and compassionate. It is not enough to be certified to be a police officer. It is not enough to have served a little over a week a year for the last ten years. We need someone who walks in a police officer's boots and is doing the job today. We need someone with investigative and prosecutorial experience who can do the job needed at the County Jail.
