Better Yourself Through Adult Education

Registration for evening courses at Winnacunnet High School is underway, and the new year starts on Sept. 5.

Evening High School will once again be offering an adult high school diploma and GED Option program beginning on Sept. 5. Registration for these programs is currently underway.

Please call 758-9233 for an appointment to register with Ms. Janis Petrou, director of the Evening High School. Office hours for registration appointments are Mondays through Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Night appointments will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 22, and 29 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The Evening High School programs are open to residents of the greater Seacoast area who are 16 and older who have not completed high school. In addition, classes are available to those seeking to return to college and need refresher courses or preparation courses.

Interested participants must have an individual appointment to review transcripts to determine credit status. Individuals under the age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The Winnacunnet Evening High School program began in 2003 and has grown considerably since its inception. The programs recently graduated over 50 students at its diploma ceremony in June 2012.

The programs are staffed by highly qualified teachers. Career counseling and employment skills are offered as part of the programs. Tuition is required and some financial may be available upon request.
