The visit is partially in support of President Barack Obama's education policies.

Nye joins Congressman and House Committee for Education and the Workforce member Rob Andrews (D-N.J.) on the trip, which is at 1:50 p.m. and concludes a day full of vists to New Hampshire science museums in support of the "Out-Educate" initiative of the New Hampshire arm of Obama's reelection campaign, according to a release about the visit.

The “Out-Educate” initiative is two weeks focused on talking with voters about Obama’s belief that education is a key investment in our future and contrasting that with opponent Mitt Romney's record, according to the release.

The President believes every child deserves access to quality schools, as well as the ability to afford college or advanced training that prepares them to succeed in the workforce. Instead of waiting for Congress to act, the President offered states relief from No Child Left Behind mandates, giving them the flexibility to use local solutions to help improve their schools and increase accountability. His education reforms empowered 46 states to raise K-12 standards for our schools with no new federal mandates or federal dollars. Programs like “Race to the Top” and “Promise Neighborhoods” are encouraging local innovation and helping schools get the tools and resources they need to succeed. President Obama has promoted science, technology, engineering and math education and training or STEM education to prepare students for the good-paying jobs of the future.

Nye will tour the center at 1:50 p.m. before giving formal remarks at 2:30 p.m.
