Be ‘Scared Silly' with Hampton Rec!

Hampton Rec and George Hosker-Bouley present "Scared Silly," this year's Halloween theatre program for kids ages 7-13.

Students age 7-13 are invited to be “Scared Silly” when Hampton Parks and Recreation and George Hosker-Bouley present their very popular Halloween theatre class.

This class, which begins on September 20, is held every Thursday from 3:15-5 p.m. at Hobbs House, located at 200 High Street in Hampton.  The final class is scheduled for October 11, followed by two dinner performances at the Old Salt Restaurant the following week. The fee to participate is $100 per child.

In preparation for this laugh-filled interactive scare-a-thon, participants will sharpen their skills in improvisation, articulation, public speaking, dance, movement and team-building. They will have the opportunity to play their favorite scary character in an effort to find out what is behind the door of the haunted house.

The final performances will be Tuesday, Oct. 16 and Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Old Salt.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner and the show begin at 6 p.m. Tickets for the show are an additional $29.99 for adults and $14.99 for children and include a three-course gourmet meal.
