Celebrate Lilac Sunday
In 1938 the Hampton Historical Society planted lilacs on the Meeting House Green now on Lilac Sunday,75 years later we are about to plant more.
Lilac Suday will take place May 5, 1 to 4 pm at the Tuck Museum Meeting House Green, 40 Park Avenue, Hampton.
In 1938 the Hampton Historical Society planted lilacs on the grounds of the Tuck Museum. Now 75 years later, courtesy of a grant from the Rye Driftwood Garden Club, its time to plant more.

On this day we also will be planting a memorial maple tree for Winnie Jaques, donated by her family and Ms. Kelly Makechnie, of the First Congregational Church's confirmation class will be planting a red maple to commemorate the 375th anniversary of the founding of the church on this site.
Bring a picnic, make a Mother's day card, view photos from the All about Paper Photo Enthusiast Group, tour the museum. All Family, friends and neighbors are asked to share in the planting on the Green.
