Cricket Safari a New Take on Summer Camp
Registration has begun for this special Rec program.

Hampton Parks and Recreation proudly announces the start of Cricket Safari Summer Camp, a fun and action-packed summer camp designed for adventurous kids ages 3-5 who want to spend their summer exploring and learning new things.
Cricket Safari Summer Camp is a new take on Hampton Recreation’s original Creative Crickets program, which has been a very popular summer activity for many years.
Wearing their very own “Cricket Safari” T-shirts provided by Hampton Rec, campers will take daily expeditions to various places including Kid’s Kingdom, the and , and enjoy events such as Arts in the Park. While onsite at Cricket Safari base camp, campers will create wild and crazy crafts and play all sorts of safari games with their fellow explorers.

Cricket Safari Summer Camp runs for eight, one-week sessions, meeting from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium. Weekly sessions run from June 25-29 through August 13-17. The only exception to the schedule is Week 2, which runs for four days due to the observance of Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4.
There are three packages designed to fit individual campers’ needs. The “Expedition” group meets five days per week, Monday through Friday at a cost of $60 per week. The three-day “Quest” group meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and costs $45 per week. The two-day “Trek” group meets on Tuesday and Thursday, and costs $30 per week.

For Week 2, the four-day “Expedition” group will meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; the cost is $50. “Trek I” will meet on Tuesday and Thursday, while “Trek II” will meet on Monday and Friday. The cost for either two-day “Trek” program is $30.
Sign-ups for Cricket Safari Summer Camp have already begun at the Hampton Parks and Recreation office, located at 100 Winnacunnet Road. More information is available by calling 926-3932.
