Extinguishing Humanity's Addiction to Guilt
One transformative issue will give rise to a powerful evolutionary tension and render many of today's problems nonessential.

One transformative issue will give rise to a powerful evolutionary tension and render many of today’s problems nonessential.
It's the challenge of getting rid of humanity’s chronic addiction to a sense of guilt with which the human race consciousness is inflamed. Many of the problems that plague the world today would simply dissolve if we could collectively liberate ourselves from guilt.
In the final analysis those problems are diverse forms of self-punishment arising from a common sense of guilt. One type of people tend to punish themselves with various kinds of disease, misery and suffering, while the other tends to punish others through myriad forms of psychological and physical violence.

Evil is the word “live” spelled backwards. It signifies the anti-evolutionary force that counters the evolutionary movement of life.
Guilt is the prime weapon of evil. It is the psychic poison poured into the soul of human race consciousness to prevent the seed of life from growing and evolving freely. The problems created by this consciousness can’t be solved by it, but only by a guilt-free consciousness.

Today we have sufficient resources and technological know how to eliminate poverty, war and starvation. Here are some statistics that should concern all of us.
- Almost half of the world population, over three billion people, live on less than $2.50 per day.
- At least 80 percent of humanity lives on less than $10.00 per day.
- More than 80 percent of the world lives in countries where income differentials are widening.
- The poorest 40 percent of the world's population accounts for 5 percent of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of world income.
- According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. They are located in some of the poorest countries and villages on earth and get no recognition globally which makes the virtually invisible.
- Twenty-seven to 28 percent of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted.

Now, what about violence and war?
The only reason for violence and war is our vested interest in ourselves, arising from guilt and keeping these problems in place as forms of punishment of self and others. Here are some statistics on wars in which the United States has been involved. These include the deaths of soldiers (both sides), civilians and the results of war due to famine and disease.
- WORLD WAR I 65,000,000
- WORLD WAR II 72,000,000
- KOREAN WAR 3,500,000
- VIETNAM WAR 6,020,000
- IRAQ WAR 2,000,000 and counting
- AFGHANISTAN Still counting

Without this guilt-laden consciousness we would have a new human-kind, a new world.
A world completely free of guilt would be a world where guilt-based punishment is wholly absent and wherein love-based giving prevails instead of guilt-based taking. When free of guilt the universal law of substitution will work to fill the space voided by the release of guilt and be replaced by the ecstatic emotion of love, the thrust for optimal unity.
At that time life will become a luminous evolutionary process. A delightful process of unfoldment and transformation, in and of consciousness. Now we will intentionally create and transcend problems that are the expression of our passion for creative expression.
In conclusion, don’t be beguiled by the utter complexities and difficulties of problems that appear to confront us today.
Most, if not all, are the means of our own making designed to punish ourselves and others in the perpetual cycle of our slavery to guilt. War, poverty and corruption will be resolved if we stop repeating our guilt-ridden karma.
We have the power to liberate ourselves by shifting our desire of guilt to freedom from guilt.
In my next blog we will cover the only real and legitimate purpose of life on our planet, or maybe anywhere in the universe.
