The elections are around the corner and we urge the
Taxpayers of Hampton to get out and vote. If you can make the effort to vote
for the national elections you certainly can vote for what happens in your
town. We had 9700 Hampton voters show up in November and we would like to see a number like that in the local elections. There have been numerous articles on the warrant articles in the Patch and Hampton Union to assist you in
understanding the issues and what is at stake. If all the money articles are
passed your tax bill will increase by 7%. Rational Taxpayers of Hampton have made recommendations to reduce this number to 3.5%.
Rational Taxpayers of Hampton have posted the warrant
articles on our web site, rationaltaxpayersofhampton.org along with our
opinions about each article. We have sent mailings to registered voters asking
you to show up and vote.
We have recommended Mary-Louis Woolsey for Selectman as we
believe she is the better candidate and represents the best interests of the
taxpayers. We have recommended Jerry Znoj and Ginny Bridle for School Board and Jerry Znoj, Eileen Latimer and Brian Lapham for the budget committee.
