Hampton Beach Wi-Fi Hearing on Tuesday
A big bill for the beach community is among the upcoming committee hearings in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

House Committees are busily at work this week hearing public testimony on many of the over 700 bills that have been filed. For a complete listi of hearing scheduled for the coming week go to: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/caljourns/calendars/2013/HC_10.pdf .
On Tuesday January 29 at 11:30A.M., the House Resources, Recreation and Development Committee will hear testimony on HB 273-FN which is co-sponsored by the entire Hampton legislative delegation and would authorize the commissioner of the department of resources and economic development to enter into contracts for provision of free wifi internet access at Hampton Beach State Park. If you are able to testify in favor of this, please do so.
This past week, I testified in favor of two bills requested by the Hampton Board of Selectmen: HB 138, which will permit towns to include only a topical description of proposed new or amended ordinances on the town ballot, rather than having to print the entire ordinance; and HB139 which would increase the amount of time that towns have to vote on actions taken by a solid waste disposal district they belong to from 45 to 120 days.
