The Rotary Club of Hampton Donates $3,750 to the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen

(Hampton, New Hampshire) The Rotary Club of Hampton recently made a donation of $3,750 to the St. Vincent de Paul South Kitchen.  Soup Kitchen Co-Coordinators Robin Reid and Chris Barbieri were on hand at the Rotary Club of Hampton’s weekly meeting which was held at the Soup Kitchen to accept the donation. Robin Reid graciously thanked the Rotary Club of Hampton for their donation saying, “Rotary’s amazing donation will greatly help the Soup Kitchen to make much needed improvements and to purchase new kitchen appliances that will help us to feed more people, more efficiently and safer.” She went on to say, “We have seen a significant increase in the number of meals served at the Soup Kitchen this year to over 10,800 which is up 10% compared to the same time period last which further highlights our need to make improvements so we can keep up with the increased demand for meals.”

Hampton Rotary Club President, John Nyhan said that he was happy to be able to help the St. Vincent de Paul South Kitchen with a donation saying, “that donations such as this makes him proud to be a Rotarian and a member of the local community.”  He went on to say, “The Soup Kitchen provides a much needed service to those in our community which need help and that having the ability to make generous donations is what Rotary is all about-giving back to the community.”

The Rotary Club of Hampton has over 60 members and meets each Tuesday morning at the Old Salt Restaurant in Hampton @ 7:30 AM.
