Cutting Completes Professional Designation Process

Hampton Fire Capt. Justin Cutting is now one of only 373 fire officers in the world.

HAMPTON, NH — Hampton Fire Capt. Justin Cutting has successfully completed the process that awards him the professional designation of “Fire Officer” (FO), according to a press statement. The Commission on Professional Credentialing (CPC) met on Feb. 7, 2017, to officially confer the re-designation upon Cutting.

Cutting is one of only 373 FO’s worldwide. This is the third time Cutting has achieved this prestigious designation.

The CPC awards the FO designation only after an individual successfully meets all of the organization’s stringent criteria. The process includes an assessment of the applicant’s education, experience, professional development, technical competencies, contributions to the profession, and community involvement. In addition, all applicants are required to identify a future professional development plan.
