Forum Scheduled to Discuss Middle School's Future
A special public session has been scheduled for next week.

The Hampton School Board will host a special community forum next week at to discuss developing plans for the future of the middle school.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4. The board and have listened to community members speak about their preferences for Hampton Academy, which will likely need major renovations or a complete replacement soon due to several issues with the structure — issues which have been outlined through in the planning process.
A building committee has been formed to evaluate structure requirements and to conduct the studies necessary to formulate a formal plan for the building. The committee, according to the school board, has completed this work and will take public input on April 4 about the facility's needs.

Members of the public are welcome to take a guided tour of the building at 6 p.m. on April 4. The forum will then commence at 7 and will feature architects, an overview of the process and analysis completed thus far, as well as a public comment period.
