Three pedestrians were reportedly struck by a black vehicle that was driving erratically, struck trash barrels, and then left the scene. Not long after the incident, Renard was stopped in a black Toyota Corolla, reportedly with front-end damage, according to Lt. Daniel Gidley of the Hampton Police Department.
“The investigation determined that Mr. Renard was driving at the time of the accident and left the scene,” he alleged. “It was also determined that Mr. Renard was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Renard was arrested by Hampton Officers without incident.”
Renard was held on $10,000 cash bail and arraigned yesterday in Seabrook NH District Court.
The three pedestrians were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. One has since been released while two remain as a precaution.
