Early Morning Fire Extinguished on Atlantic Avenue

Breaking: Mutual aid called in to assist as North Hampton and Hampton firefighters keep a garage blaze from spreading.

NORTH HAMPTON, NH — Firefighters in North Hampton were busy this morning after being called to a structure fire on Atlantic Avenue at just before 4 a.m. on Sept. 15, 2016. According to a post on Facebook, Engine 1 and a Hampton engine were dispatched to a report of a garage fire, with a light smoke condition.

“A first alarm was transmitted and brought multiple mutual aid units from surrounding towns to the scene and station coverage,” according to the North Hampton Professional Fire Fighters - Local 3211 I.A.F.F. “A quick attack from members of A-Shift and mutual aid stopped the fire from extending into the main house.”

The firefighters overhauled the scene and the smoke and fire was contained to the garage.
