The Professional Firefighters of Hampton Local 2664 and McGuirks Ocean View Restaurant, is hosting the 6th annual "Chowdah Challenge". It is a chowder cook-off to benefit the Burn Foundation, a non-profit source for burn research grants and the sponsor for the I.A.F.F Children's Burn Camp. It will be held on Thursday, May 31st 2012, at McGuirks Ocean View Restaurant, 95 Ocean Blvd Hampton NH. The doors open at 6pm with a $5.00 charge, which gets you all the chowder you can eat, live entertainment, 50/50 raffle, and raffle prizes. You can enter your own chowder, and all non-restaurant entries will be given a $25 gift certificate to McGuirks.
