September 6 at 8:00 PM, Hampton, NH, author Evelyn Thornton will be reading from her book "To Walk With My Brother" (http://evelynthorntonbook.com) at the Hampton Falls Town Hall, 1 Drinkwater Road, Hampton Falls, NH. This event is sponsored by the Hampton Falls Grange and is open to the public at no charge. Thornton's upifting memoir tells the story of her family's and her brother Wayne's struggle to overcome the limits of disabilities imposed on him by a medical accident as a child. The Thornton's were instrumental in implementing the first handicapped access ramps at the Hampton Beach, and her book chronicles the changing opportunities and societal perceptions of the handicapped over recent decades.
