Local Authors Appearing at Marelli's Market for HAN Art Walk

Two local authors, Evelyn Thornton and Nancy Donovan, will be on hand at Marelli's Market to sell and sign copies of their books during Hampton Arts Network "Art Walk 2012." The event is Thursday and Friday evenings, October 4–5 in downtown Hampton from 4–7 p.m.

Evelyn Thornton is author of To Walk With My Brother, a memoir chronicling the changing opportunities for the handicapped in America as shown through the life of her brother, Wayne Thornton, who was paralyzed by a medical accident as a child.

Nancy Donovan is the author of Oscar the Herring Gull, an illustrated children's book about a herring gull born on Star Island, on the Isles of Shoals. Through the story of Oscar's life readers learn about the ways of gulls, and Oscar answers questions one might have about herring gulls and their habits.
