Exeter Man Injured in Bike Crash in Hampton Falls

NH State Police: Sanborn Road closed for about an hour and a half on Sept. 5.

On September 5, at approximately 0859 hours, Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A barracks responded to a motor vehicle vs. bicycle accident on Sanborn Road at the intersection of Evergreen Drive in the town of Hampton Falls.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Audi A7, being driven by Thomas Jones, 49, of Hampton Falls, was traveling east on Sanborn Road. A bicycle, being ridden by David Stone, 81, of Exeter, exited Evergreen Drive onto Sanborn Road and collided with the Audi.

Stone sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he is being treated.

It was necessary to close Sanborn Road in the area of this accident for approximately 1 ½ hours.

Assisting the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A at the scene was the Hampton Falls Police Department, the Kensington Police Department, and the Hampton Falls Fire Department.
