Fire Reported on F Street

Two-story building on Hampton Beach was struck by fire last night.

HAMPTON, NH - Hampton Fire and Rescue teams were sent to F Street last night for a report of a fire around 8:30 p.m., according to Hampton Firefighters on Twitter.

The fire on May 1, 2016, was reported on the first floor of s two-story building and then quickly extended to the second floor. Mutual aid was quickly called in to cover and assist.

By around 9 p.m., the teams had doused the flames and were on-scene with extensive overhaul, according to reports online.

The American Red Cross, according to Lloyd Ziel, assisted residents in both Hampton and Tamworth, where there was another fire last night. During the next several days, a casework volunteer will stay in contact with the residents and assist them in their road to recovery, he noted.
