Five Things to Do This Weekend
There's a film festival, all-you-can-eat pancakes, free games and plenty of team spirit.

1. Check Out the Conclusion of the Academy Awards Film Festival: The final installments of 's (free) film festival honoring iconic, award-winning movies is this Saturday.

On tap are "Rain Man" at noon and "Unforgiven" at 2:30 p.m.
2. Eat an Unlimited Number of Pancakes for a Good Cause: Cub Scout Pack 380 is hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Sunday from 8 a.m to 12:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Proceeds will benefit the pack, and entry costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids. They are running a special $1 discount for each member of your group if you bring a copy of the flier attached to this article as a PDF.
3. Cheer On Local Sports Teams: There are many games this weekend, including matchups featuring 's basketball, wrestling and ice hockey teams.

4. Enjoy an Afternoon of Free Gaming: Friday is the last Friday of the month, so that means Lane Memorial Library is hosting another free Teen Gaming Afternoon from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Students have to be 10 years or older to participate in the activities, which include the library's new Xbox 360 Kinect and other video games.
5. Meet a Local Author: Local writer and jazz musician Karen Cameron-Brook will be holding a special meet-and-greet and signing session Saturday.
