2. Hampton, North Hampton boards meet: The Hampton Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7, and the North Hampton Select Board is scheduled to meet at that same time.

3. Seafood Fest is now hiring: The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is hiring general workers for event set up and maintenance. Work is available from Sept. 4-12, and the pay rate is $10 an hour. Stop by the Hampton chamber welcome center at 160 Ocean Boulevard to fill out an application.

4. This Day in History: On this day in 1995, former New York Yankees star Mickey Mantle died of liver cancer at the age of 63. While "The Mick" patrolled center field and batted clean-up between 1951 and 1968, the Yankees won 12 American League pennants and seven World Series championships.
