Flooding In Hampton Prompts Evacuations
Breaking: Hampton Police, Fire are being called to people stranded due to water. Route 286 in Seabrook, Route 1A in Rye also closed.
HAMPTON, NH — Parts of Hampton are being evacuated due to flooding, according to alerts online. Lafayette Road near the Hampton Falls town line is closed due to flooding, according to police. Ashworth Avenue is also closed with a detour in place.
Hampton Fire and Rescue teams are receiving “multiple calls” from people who are stranded in vehicles along Route 1 and the beach district due to the storm surge.
Seabrook Police are reporting that Route 286 is closed from Route 1A to South Main Street due to water flooding roadways.

The NH DOT is reporting that roadways in Rye are also closed due to the flooding.
