Flooding Hits Beach Roads, Forces Closures

Flooding has made for some interesting pictures and some interesting — and likely frustrating — traffic changes near Hampton Beach lately, including Sunday night when Ocean Boulevard became a two-way street after police closed Ashworth Avenue.

Cassie Leavitt shared with Patch the above photo, taken by Peter Casella on Ashworth Avenue Sunday night, to show the severity of some of the rain and flooding. Here's what Casella said on Facebook about his photo:

"Never seen it this bad in the 21 years I have been in town."
