Former Executive Councilor Backs Innis for State Senate

Ruth Griffin said Innis had a ton of energy and great ideas about how to make New Hampshire's economy stronger.

NEW CASTLE, NH — Seacoast Republican activist and icon, Ruth Griffin, has endorsed Dan Innis for state Senate in District 24 primary, according to a press statement.

Griffin has been in public service for more than 30 years and is a former five term Executive Councilor, a former state Senator, former state legislator, former RNC National Committeewoman, and has served on countless local boards and commissions including the Portsmouth Housing Authority.

“The job of a state Senator is to provide constituent service and represent the needs and concerns of their District," she said. "I looked at all the candidates running for State Senate in District 24, and the only candidate that I trust to work hard and represent district 24 is Dan Innis. Dan has a ton of energy and great ideas about how to make our economy stronger. Dan is a visionary that has transformed the UNH Business school to be one of the best business schools in the country."

Griffin said that one of the most important issues to her was when she sees young people leaving the state for better economic opportunities.

"Dan shares that concern and understands that we need to create a better long-term economic environment that will encourage our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to start their businesses and raise their families right here in New Hampshire," she said. Innis said that he was “extremely proud to have the trust, support, and counsel of Ruth Griffin," in a statement.

"Ruth is truly one of the most passionate public servants I have ever known," he said. "Her commitment to New Hampshire is unmatched and it is and honor to have her endorsement."
