Executive Director Ellen Chase stated, “Our counseling services are provided at no charge to the clients as we are funded by grants. Our HUD-certified counselors help our clients work through the complex mortgage delinquency and foreclosure process.” When a loan modification is being requested, CHS can act as the home-owner’s third party representative to the bank for the purpose of assuring that proper documentation is in place. “No one had ever been successful in creating a plan that would work to save my home.
