Fun 'Fairy House' Workshop Coming Saturday
Tracy Kane, author of the popular "Fairy Houses" series, will be in Hampton as part of a special, family-friendly event Saturday.

The Deacon Tuck Gristmill Committee, in conjunction with the Hampton Parks and Recreation Department, will present a wonderful day full of imagination and fantasy with “Fairy Fantasia” on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m.
This whimsical family event begins at the on Park Avenue, where participants will create their very own fairy houses, inspired by the “Fairy Houses” series of books written by author Tracy Kane.
As a special guest of the Hampton Historical Society, Kane will be on hand to teach the craft of building Fairy Houses. She will also share her stories and sign copies of her books.

Following a fun time of crafts and story-telling, participants will travel to Hampton’s own historic Grist Mill on High Street, where they can tour a very special Fairy Village and add their own fairy houses to the display.
This event will also provide an opportunity for all to take a peek inside the 325-year-old structure, the preservation of which is the mission of the Deacon Tuck Grist Mill Committee.

The cost to take part in “Fairy Fantasia” is $5 per child, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Registrations should be made in advance at the Hampton Rec office at in Hampton. More information is available by calling 926-3932.
