Fundraiser for Fibrolamellar Liver Cancer Research Held on Nov. 2

Event held in honor of a family member who was lost to the disease.

It’s that time!

This Sunday, Nov. 2, our family is hosting the Fundraiser for Fibrolamellar Liver Cancer Research from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Community Oven, 845 Lafayette Rd in Hampton.

Our family lost our 15-year-old nephew to this disease in June of this year. It is in Matthew’s memory that we are hosting this fundraiser. Fibrolamellar Hepatacellular Carcinoma (FHC for short) is a rare liver cancer that that targets teens and young adults. Approximately 200 people are diagnosed each year with this disease.
