Hampton Man Allegedly Cuts Person’s Throat: Report

Police arrested Armand Hennis on Monday after an alleged incident on Cole Street.

HAMPTON, NH — A local man was arrested last night after an alleged incident with a knife, according to police. Armand Hennis, 49, of Hampton, was arrested on May 15, 2017, for first-degree assault. According to police, at around 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to Cole Street for a report of an assault.

“Police were able to identify the suspect at the scene as Armand Hennis,” according to Deputy Chief David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department. “Police learned that Mr. Hennis assaulted the victim with a knife causing a serious laceration to the victim’s throat. The victim was transported to the hospital and sustained non-life threatening injuries.”

Hennis was arrested and arraigned this morning. He was held on $50,000 cash bail. Hennis has a probable cause hearing on May 25, in Seabrook District Court.
