Family members were still in the residence with the subject when police arrived. At around 9:30 p.m., police warned residents on Twitter that there was ongoing activity at the home but that the general public was not in danger. The Seacoast Emergency Response Team was called in but Mitchell allegedly refused to come out.
“After lengthy negotiations Mr. Mitchell did agree to come out of the residence and surrender to police at approximately 2255 hours,” according to Deputy Chief David Hobbs, with units clearing the scene. “Mitchell is charged with Reckless Conduct for placing others in danger of serious bodily injury.”
Mitchell is scheduled to be arraigned in Seabrook District Court on April 19.
