Hampton Man Arrested on First-Degree Assault Charge
Gregory Levesque allegedly punched and kicked a victim on I Street on Saturday night.

HAMPTON, NH — A local man was arrested on an assault charge during the weekend after an alleged incident on I Street, according to Hampton Police. Gregory Levesque, 28, of Hampton, was arrested on Jan. 21, 2017, for felony first-degree assault.

According to police, officers were sent to the report of a fight at just before 10 p.m. on Saturday night on I Street.

“When police arrived, the suspect had fled the scene and officers located a male subject that appeared to have sustained significant non-life threatening injuries,” according to Deputy Chief David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department.
The suspect had allegedly kicked and punched the victim which resulted in “seriously bodily injury” and the victim was treated by Hampton Fire and transported to the hospital.

Officers located a suspect – Levesque – a short distance from the scene and he was arrested. He was held on $5,000 cash bail and arraigned yesterday. Levesque has a probable cause hearing scheduled for Feb. 14.
