Hampton Man Charged With OUI In Reading Crash

At least five total cars were damaged in two crashes in Wakefield and Reading — police believe it was all from the same drunken driver.

HAMPTON, NH — A Hampton man was arrested and charged on Friday with driving while under the influence after he crashed into several cars in Reading and Wakefield, police said. Five people were injured in the crashes.

Johnathan Markow, 29, crashed into at least five cars, police said. Reading Police and fire responded to Walkers Brook Drive for a report of a multi-car crash with injuries. Police officers and firefighters found three cars with serious damage.

Around the same time, Reading police received a notification from the Wakefield Police Department that a similar car had just left a crash in that community. Police determined that Markow crashed into three cars in Wakefield, drove away and then crashed into two more cars in Reading.
