Hampton, North Hampton College Students Receive Accolades
College students make honor rolls and graduate, too.
HAMPTON, NH — The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University's 135th Commencement. Among the graduates was Jacquelyn O Potvin of Hampton, who received a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science. More than 3,700 undergraduate degrees and 680 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during nine individual ceremonies held over three days, May 21-23, 2021.
Nichols College graduated 245 undergraduate students this spring. An in-person commencement celebration was held for the class of 2021 on May 15, 2021. Brock Crowley of Hampton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in General Business.
Cady of Hampton was among more than 4,000 students from Miami University who received degrees during the in-person spring commencement May 14-16, 2021. Cady graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Biology, Premedical Studies.

Jackson Keaton and Nicole Powell graduated from University of Connecticut in 2021.
Caroline Ann Williams, of Hampton, received a degree from Clark University during the University's 117th Commencement exercises on Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13. Williams graduated with a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science.

More than 50 Emerson College Winter & Spring student-athletes were named to their respective New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) teams for the 2020-2021 academic year. Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire semester. Zachary Waterhouse of Hampton, New Hampshire was a member of the Men's Basketball team for the Winter season. Waterhouse is pursuing a degree in Communication Studies and is a member of the Emerson College Class of 2022.
Hannah Doherty, a Lasell University student from Hampton (03842), presented at the University's Spring Symposium research showcase, "The Invention of Now." Doherty presented at the senior graphic design showcase at the University's Yamawaki Center. The Spring Connected Learning Symposium is one of two annual research symposia held at Lasell University. Student presentations provide scholarly insights into a variety of industry topics, and showcase practical skills and career competencies across those industries.
Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the Spring 2021 semester. Among those students are:

Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
Emmanuel College has named Justin Donnelly of Hampton to the Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.
Bryant University is pleased to recognize the students who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement. Nicholas Fratto, class of 2021, from Hampton has been named to the Deans' List for the spring 2021 semester. Congratulations to Nicholas on this outstanding achievement.
Kate Piacenza, of Hampton has been named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the spring 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above. Piacenza, a May graduate, majored in psychology at Hamilton.

The requirement to make Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.
The University of Tampa has honored 1,758 students who were named to the dean's list for the Spring 2021 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
Ethan Guglielmo of Hampton earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Spring 2021 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.
Select students have been named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
