Hampton Police Seek Communications Specialist
The department has a full-time position for a dispatcher.

HAMPTON, NH — The Hampton Police Department is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Full-Time Police Communications Specialist (Dispatcher). The Community of Hampton is a tourist destination located along the beautiful New Hampshire Seacoast. Our Agency serves a Full-time population of 15,000 that swells during our busier summer months. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team consisting of 9 Civilians in support of 34 Full-Time and 70 Part-Time Sworn Officers. Our Emergency Communications Center is located within the Police Station at Hampton Beach.
Our Communications Center is a 24 hour operation that is fast-paced and multi-function. Successful candidates should have strong communications skills, the ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively while under pressure, basic phone skills, radio and computer skills. - Minimum Requirement: At least 18 Years of Age High School Diploma, or Equivalent Valid Drivers License
- Hiring Process: Oral Board (Oral Board Dates TBD) Polygraph Exam Psychological Exam Drug and Alcohol Screen Background Investigation
Salary and Benefits: Starting pay ranges $17.87-$18.87/hr depending upon shift assignment. It includes a benefits package as defined by Teamsters Collective Bargaining Agreement (Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation, Sick time, Educational Incentive, Clothing allowance and participation in the NH Retirement System).
