Hampton School Board: Please Vote on March 14

HAMPTON, NH — Hampton is an amazing town filled with people of all ages and backgrounds. Our town is made up of compassionate, generous and insightful folks. The spirit of this community has always moved Hampton forward to greatness while still holding onto the traditions that make us unique.

One of Hampton’s great traditions is providing excellence in education for our young people. Another is bringing people together for events and activities that strengthen us as a community. As a School Board, we encourage Hampton voters to get out and exercise their right to vote on March 14, 2017. We also hope that you will strongly consider supporting Article 1 on the School District ballot. This Article seeks voter approval to complete the long overdue reconstruction and renovation of Hampton Academy.

Our adolescent learners need a safe and secure environment that will prepare them for high school and beyond, in college and careers. The proposed project will address the major systems needs, changing program needs, and the need for community spaces that can be used by the entire population, including senior citizens, the Recreation Department, and the Public Library.

It is our hope that citizens will go to the SAU 90 website (sau90.org), visit the Friends of Hampton Academy on Facebook, or visit the Library, Town Hall, or our schools to obatin more information. You will find details of why this renovation is needed, how it will be accomplished, and the financial impact on property owners. This proposal is the result of months of intensive work, community forums, and careful consideration of the fiscal impact.
