Hampton Woman Arrested for Burglary

Melissa Aldrich was arrested on charges last week after an incident on Lafayette Road in September.

A local woman has been arrested on charges from an incident last month, according to police.

Melissa Aldrich, 28, of Hampton, was arrested on Oct. 30, 2015, for burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card.

During the month of September, Aldrich allegedly gained unlawful entry into a residence on Lafayette Road and obtained the victim’s bank card, according to police.

“Aldrich used the bank card at several locations in town,” according to Deputy Chief David Hobbs. “Video surveillance was obtained from the Hannaford grocery store where multiple transactions took place.”

Detectives were reportedly able to positively identify Aldrich through the video footage and witness statements, according to Hobbs.

Aldrich was released on $1000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 15. at the 10th Circuit Court in Seabrook.
