Kennedy Keynotes Rockingham County Democrats' Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner

EPPING, NH — U.S. Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy III, D-MA, will be the keynote speaker at the Rockingham County Democrats' Eleanor Roosevelt Covered Dish Dinner on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at American Legion Post 51, 232 Calef Highway, Epping, according to a press statement. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., the proceedings begin at 7 p.m., and Kennedy will speak shortly afterwards.

Kennedy, who has been representing the 4th Congressional District of Massachusetts since 2013, will be appearing on behalf of Secretary Hillary Clinton.

“We're excited that Congressman Kennedy will speak at our dinner about Hillary Clinton's historic run for the Presidency,” said Larry Drake, chairperson of the Rockingham County Democratic Committee. “We look forward to an inspiring speech to fire us up for the last month of the campaign.”

Among the other highlights of the banquet will be the awarding of the Eleanor Roosevelt Award to Bev Hollingworth of Hampton. Bev served in the NH House of Representatives, NH Senate, and on the Executive Council.

Also speaking at the event are Governor Maggie Hassan, who is running for U.S. Senate; Carol Shea-Porter, who is running for Congress from the First Congressional District; Executive Councilor and candidate for Governor Colin Van Ostern; State Senator Martha Fuller Clark; NH House Minority Leader Steve Shurtleff; Executive Councilor for District 4 Chris Pappas; and Executive Council candidate for District 3 Beth Roth. Raymond Buckley, Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
