This letter is in support of Janet Stevens, who is running for Executive Council of District III.

I have known Janet for many years and I know that she is a leader. In a crisis, leadership is defined. During the COVID pandemic, Janet has distinguished herself in many ways: to improve access to critically needed mental health care while serving on Governor Sununu’s Board of Mental Health Practices, to assist small business owners obtain CARES and Paycheck Protection Program funding, to advocate for a first responder who suffered an injury on duty, and to facilitate important intra state highway projects.

Before the pandemic, Janet served for over 28 years in such important community based non-profit boards as Strawberry Bank Museum, Portsmouth Music Hall, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and AIDS Response Seacoast, to name a few.

The contrast between Janet and her opponent, Mindi Messmer, is stark. Ms. Messmer’s legislative record is clear in terms of voting against veterans, opposing funding for cross state drug trafficking, supporting additional taxes and fees, and denying funding for internet crimes against children’s programs.

The choice would not be clearer. I urge you to vote for Janet Stevens, a leader who will maintain and enhance the New Hampshire Advantage and improve our lives in the Granite State.

Sincerely,
Peter White
Rye, NH
