In the words of Winston Churchill, “There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction.” Voting Day is fast approaching for the townspeople of North Hampton. I am writing today to shine a positive light on Tamara Le who is in the running for a seat on the North Hampton School Board. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Tamara and her family over the past year. Tamara Le is part of what makes the town of North Hampton the community that it is. Tamara is committed to the betterment of our school, our community and to the idea that if we all come together as cohesive unit great things can happen. Tamara brings a toolbox to the table full of experience, leadership and volunteerism.  More importantly she brings a light of hope, energy and spirit that has brought her to where she is today. This attribute will no doubt prove to be a valuable asset in fostering effective communication and developing new and improved relationships on which we can continue to build a strong foundation for our school.  Tamara Le also brings to the table knowledge of Special Education topics, suggestions and concerns.  At present, the Special Education population is not represented on the current school board.  With the budget being over 1 million dollars a year appropriated for Special Ed as well as approximately 1/6 of the school population falling into this category, Tamara would be a valuable resource to this school board.  Beyond her knowledge base about the supportive services offered to the more vulnerable students receiving Special Education services, I am more than confident she would be receptive to discuss any concerns about regular education issues, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. She has shown her “open door” approach to being a team player, willing to take into consideration any and all suggestions that may proactively enhance our children’s education at NHS.  Being a reporter and journalist for many years she has a drive to be through, objective and curious.  There is no doubt she would take her position on the board with a great deal of pride and fulfill her duties with integrity and reliability.  Please consider your support for Tamara Le for a seat on the North Hampton School Board March 13, 2012.
