Mass. Man Crashes Into Hampton Store: Cops

Police: No charges have been issued against a Haverhill man after he allegedly smashed into the Lighthouse Market building on Ocean Blvd.

HAMPTON, NH - A Massachusetts man may face charges after allegedly crashing into a store on Ocean Boulevard last night, according to Hampton Police.

Officers were sent to 369 Ocean Boulevard, the Lighthouse Market building, for a report of an accident at just before 9 p.m. on March 9, 2016.

When they arrived, according to Lt. Daniel Gidley, they found a blue Dodge Neon had left the southbound lanes and skidded across the sidewalk striking several chairs and tables before crashing into the building. Several windows were broken in the front of a store, according to Gidley.

The driver was a 20-year-old man from Haverhill, MA, according to police.

“The collision is still under investigation and charges may be forthcoming on the driver,” Gidley added.
