Why are you seeking elective office?
To maintain a business friendly environment and to protect your rights.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Out of control state, county, and local property taxes. Nearly half of what towns and school districts spend money on is overheard: utilities, fuel, heating, health insurance, liability, interest on municipal bonds, etc.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I voted against the four state income tax bills, Common Core mandates, Obamacare, gun control, Sanctuary Cities, and restrictions on personal and economic freedom.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
I am currently serving in this office.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
Combat corruption by creating the office of Inspector General, appointed by the House. Improve self-defense rights by correcting errors in RSA 627. Improve evidence preservation and combat prosecutorial misconduct to reduce wrongful convictions. Return money, power, and decision making back down to the local level.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Obtained $881,000 for state dredging of Hampton and Rye Harbors to allow the Army Corp of Engineers to finish the federal portion of the project. Passed House Resolution convincing Congress to relax fishing regulations that were killing our fishing fleet. Passed a bill through the House extending the statute of limitations on child abuse cases. Passed a House Resolution requesting that the VA look into the causes of veteran suicides. Improved privacy protections by cosponsoring several bills meant to curb government surveillance.
The best advice ever shared with me was …
Listen to the voters.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Endorsed (or given an A grade by) American Conservative Union, NRA, NHLA, AFP-NH, Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, N.H. Families for Education, the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, LibertyBallot.com, Selectman Brendan Kelly, Lee Hurst, Tina Harley, and New Hampshire Representatives Eric Eastman, Mark Warden, Tony Piemonte, and Hershel Nuñez.
