Nashua Woman Accused Of Distributing Fatal Fentanyl To Hampton Man

HAMPTON, NH — A woman from Nashua is being held without bail after being charged with killing a man with a fatal dose of fentanyl in July 2021.

On July 11, 2021, police were called to an unattended death of a man on Manchester Street in Hampton. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed the man died due to acute fentanyl intoxication.

“After a lengthy investigation,” Deputy Chief Alex Reno said, “detectives developed probable cause that led to an arrest warrant for the person suspected of distributing the drugs to the victim that led to his death.”

Elisha L. Escamilla, 34, of Nashua was arrested around 7:15 p.m. on May 17 after she was arrested in the Gate City on an acts prohibited-death resulting felony charge. She was accused of either giving or selling the man the fentanyl on July 10, 2021. Escamilla was booked and held.

Escamilla, according to superior court records, was arraigned in Rockingham County Superior Court on May 17 and held. A probable cause hearing was held on May 24, and she continued to be held without bail. Escamilla is due for a dispositional conference on June 21.
