Newburyport Bank Names Senior Vice President for Commercial Lending Team
Todd Atanasoff will work from the bank's State Street office and focus on financing for business transitions and growth.

NEWBURYPORT, MA — Newburyport Bank has appointed Todd Atanasoff as senior vice president and commercial loan officer.
Atanasoff will be based at the bank’s 63 State St. office in Newburyport and will focus on customized financing solutions tied to business transitions, growth and exits.
The bank said Atanasoff brings more than 20 years of commercial banking experience to the role. He has held commercial lending positions at both nationally recognized financial institutions and community banks, with experience in private equity and venture capital relationships, sponsor-backed lending and business acquisition financing.

In his new position, Atanasoff is expected to work with entrepreneurs and investors at key points in the life of a business. According to the bank, that includes clients seeking to acquire a business or commercial real estate, manage a transition such as a buyout or sale, or secure capital to support growth.
Atanasoff brings what the bank described as a relationship-first approach centered on individualized service, market intelligence and connections to professional resources. The bank said that approach is intended to help clients meet both business and personal financial goals.

Atanasoff lives in Newburyport with his wife, Molly, and their children, Keene and Heeth.
Newburyport Bank was founded in 1854 and is headquartered in Newburyport. According to the bank, it has more than $1.6 billion in assets and operates 11 community banking locations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including Exeter and Hampton.
The bank also said it is supported by River Run Bancorp, MHC, alongside Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank and Trust. River Run has collective assets of $3.6 billion across the affiliated banks.
