NH State Police Charge Woman with Doctor Shopping
Janie Griffith was arrested by Hampton Police; will be arraigned in November.

A local woman is facing charges after a three-month investigation by the New Hampshire State Police.
Janie Griffith, 52, of Exeter Street in Newmarket, was arrested on Sept. 6, on a single count of obtaining controlled drugs by fraud.
According to a New Hampshire State Police report, the Narcotics and Investigations Unit, Drug Diversion Section, had been investigating reports of “doctor shopping” by Griffith for about three months. She was arrested on Saturday, without incident, by the Hampton Police Department.

Griffith was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on Nov. 10, in 10th Circuit-District Division-Portsmouth.
