North Hampton Has Competitive Races For 2022 Town Election

NORTH HAMPTON, NH — Along with budgets and other issues before voters on March 8, North Hampton has a number of competitive races for 2022.

Half a dozen races are competitive this year, after the filing period ended, according to Town Clerk Susan Buchanan.

Four candidates are running for two, three-year budget committee seats. They are Tom von Jess, George Chauncey, Lisa Gallagher, and Brian Goode.

Two candidates are seeking a single, one-year seat on the budget committee: Charles Gallant and Andrew Raucci.

Lauri Etela, Robert “Shep” Kroner, and Scott Baker are seeking two, three-year planning board seats.

Three candidates are also seeking two, three-year zoning board seats: Robin Reid, Dennis Williams, and Larry Miller.

Pollyanna Ford and Jane Morse are running to become supervisor of the checklist, which is a six-year term.

Many candidates in other races in town are unopposed.

There are also two competitive school board races: Lisa Gagalis and Kirsten Larsen Schultz are seeking a single, two-year term seat while Tory Marsh ad Marinne von Jess are seeking a single, one-year term seat.

Voters will also consider a new $9.3 million safety building, a proposal to renovate the former library for town offices, operating budgets, and union contracts.
